Our mission

The Hungarian Environmental Partnership Foundation aims at enhancing the development of an environmentally aware, participatory democratic society and institutional system by strengthening and supporting the civil environmental movements.

The foundation promotes the development of the environmental movement trough providing grants, training, fellowships and technical assistance where necessary.

Green Presidents at the Budakeszi Wildlife Park

Extraordinary Greenway Program

After the presidential panel of the Budapest World Science Forum, László Sólyom Hungarian, Heinz Fischer Austrian, Stjepan Mesić Croatian and Karolos Papoulias Greek Heads of State visited the Budakeszi Wildlife Park on the 8th of November. Before this event the presidents discussed the opportunities of sustainable development in the framework of the International World Science Forum at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The co-workers and partners of the Wildlife Park had a single opportunity to present their practical work in the field of environmental education, conservation and the regional green projects too. László Sólyom gave lunch in the Wildlife Park restaurant at the end of the program onto his guests’ respect. HEPF and Buda-side Greenway (the latter working in the area) introduced themselves. Zsuzsa Foltányi, the foundation’s advisor outlined the coordinating role of Ökotárs Alapítvány in the domestic adaption of the Greenway method. Judit Kapovits, Board member of Buda-side Greenway Alliance talked about the local development work of their organization. The Budakeszi Wildlife Park itself, as the gate of the local Greenway undertakes an active role in the area’s development, too.
