Our mission

The Hungarian Environmental Partnership Foundation aims at enhancing the development of an environmentally aware, participatory democratic society and institutional system by strengthening and supporting the civil environmental movements.

The foundation promotes the development of the environmental movement trough providing grants, training, fellowships and technical assistance where necessary.

Greenways are trails or natural corridors used in harmony with their environmental function and potential for sport, tourism and recreation. Improve possibilities for transportation, recreation and tourism, and encourage a healthier lifestyle and sustainable use of local resources.

We are supporting sustainable development plans of local communities since 2001. Projects are assisted with consultation in the area of information, methodology, fundraising, promotion. Grants are provided for starting projects and for projects pursuing new ideas.

Within the framework of co-operation with foreign partners, the Programme supports study trips, participation in professional meetings and mutual information exchange. In 2005 we have supported the development activites of civic organisations in the following regions: Sopron, Zselic, Ipoly valley, Danube bend.
