The program supports the monitoring of management and impacts of nuclear energy in Hungary. It endeavors to contribute to the progressive transition from nuclear power plants supported by the state and from the use of fossil fuels to a lower import of energy raw materials, decentralization and wider usage of renewable energy sources.

Energy Club with the collaboration of other Hungarian NGOs (Protect the Future, Greenpeace) organized a campaign for the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident to pay tribute to the victims of the catastrophe and to raise awareness about the risks of using nuclear energy. In the framework of the project, freecards (with stickers) were printed and disseminated, a publication and a new issue of the “230” magazine was published and a commemoration organized.
